Aerobics Class Descriptions

Step Interval - Choreographed step incorporating short intervals of strength conditioning with the cardio components. All levels.

Water Aerobics  -  Enjoy a class that combines strength training and aerobics with varying degrees of intensity.  Whether you are a beginner or advanced, this class will offer you a challenging and fun workout.

Cardio Step –  Choreographed cardiovascular workout utilizing the step.  All levels.

Slo Stretch – Relaxing format designed to stretch every muscle.

Athletic Conditioning  - Strength training for the entire body, sculpting each major muscle group.  All levels.

Ballecore - A non-cardio combination of Ballet, Yoga, and Pilates.  All levels.

Yoga – Take time out for yourself and discover the benefits of yoga. Mentally and actively let out tension using stretching, breathing and relaxation techniques. Stretch stiff muscles and learn how to keep tension from building up again! This is a 60 min. Hatha Yoga class that teaches the basics of yoga.

Pilates – Based on the teaching of Joseph Pilates. This is a fitness regimen that combines stretching and strengthens with natural and fluid dance-like movements.

Spinning – A high intensity group exercise involving a stationary bike. Designed to utilize cycling techniques.  Water bottles and towels a must.  Please see the Members Services Desk for information and fees.

Lite Fitness - For the beginner or those that want to get a lite workout.  Low impact and weights.

Zumba *- New Latin dance exercise class.  Have fun and burn calories while learning Latin dance moves.  *There is a charge of $3.00 per class.  Please sign in with the instructor.

Fundamental Pilates - This class will teach the basics such as breathing and correct body placement for Pilates.  Beginner level.

Cardio Tennis - This high energy aerobic workout will not only burn calories, tone and firm your muscles but may improve your tennis skills.  This class is instructed by tennis professional, Molly Card Beckman and Personal Trainer, Scott Williams.  Classes are 60 minutes.

Boxing Fitness - Former Olympic Boxing Medalist, Hank Johnson leads you to cardio fitness with this high impact aerobic workout.  Classes are 60 minutes.
